NE / NEF Carbide Cutters – Efficiently Processing NPM Alloys

A smarter way to work with hard non-precious metal alloys.
Hard non-precious metal (NPM) alloys can make efficient processing a real challenge in the dental laboratory. With the HORICO NE and NEF carbide cutters, we offer a specialised solution that combines fast material removal with fine finishing – helping to simplify the workflow from initial shaping through to pre-polishing.
Two specialised cuts for an efficient workflow
The specially developed groove geometry of the NE cut and NEF cut is designed specifically for working with NPM alloys. Unlike conventional fine-cut instruments, their distinctive groove pattern allows even extremely hard alloys to be processed efficiently and economically.
- NE cut – for fast material removal: Designed for efficient shaping and rapid removal of material, even on hard NPM alloys.
- NEF cut – for fine finishing: Produces a fine, even surface and provides an excellent preparation for subsequent polishing.
Both cutting geometries are available in a range of popular cutter shapes, allowing the essential laboratory workflow to be covered with just two instruments – from finishing the cast framework to pre-polishing.
Key benefits
- Fast: Efficient material removal on hard NPM alloys
- Long-lasting: High wear resistance for economical laboratory work
- Fine: Excellent surface preparation for polishing
- Efficient: Two specialised cuts cover the key processing steps
- Versatile: Available in a range of proven cutter shapes
