KIT AS – Preparation of veneers

KIT AS – Preparation of veneers

KIT AS – Precise Veneer Preparation

Controlled Precision for Veneer Preparation

The HORICO KIT AS has been developed for dentists who value a safe, precise and controlled approach to veneer preparation.

The system enables defined reduction of tooth structure and supports the achievement of a reproducible preparation depth. This allows the required veneer thickness to be determined more precisely – an important foundation for mechanical stability and the desired aesthetic result.

AS Depth Marker – Defined Preparation Depth

At the heart of the KIT AS are the newly developed HORICO AS Depth Markers. These specially designed diamond instruments provide clear orientation and control of the desired reduction depth.

The AS Depth Marker is a partially diamond-coated instrument for controlled and minimally invasive reduction of enamel, dentin and composite.

Its special geometry supports controlled instrument guidance during preparation. The right-angled instrument shoulder serves as an additional guide for controlled movement of the turbine. A stabilizing ring supports instrument control and helps prevent excessive penetration and tilting during use.

Four Defined Preparation Depths

The AS Depth Markers are available in four defined reduction depths:

  • 0.3 mm
  • 0.5 mm
  • 0.7 mm
  • 1.0 mm

This allows the preparation depth to be selected according to the individual clinical requirements.

A Complete System for Veneer Preparation

In addition to the AS Depth Markers, the KIT AS includes conical diamond instruments in coarse and fine grits as well as matching Lamello polishers.

The instruments are coordinated with the individual steps of the procedure and support a structured workflow – from depth orientation and preparation through finishing and polishing.

Key Benefits at a Glance

  • Controlled reduction of tooth structure
  • Defined preparation depths from 0.3 to 1.0 mm
  • Suitable for working on enamel, dentin and composite
  • Stabilizing ring to support controlled instrument guidance

PAUL Diamond Strip Holder

The PAUL Strip Holder with a pre-mounted diamond strip is ready to use and delivers precise results for interproximal finishing, restoration contouring, and interproximal enamel reduction (IPR). Available in various strip thicknesses and grit sizes, as well as a serrated non-diamond version. Autoclavable, sustainably packaged and Made in Germany.

NE cutter / NEF cutter

NE / NEF Carbide Cutters – Efficiently Processing NPM Alloys

A smarter way to work with hard non-precious metal alloys.

Hard non-precious metal (NPM) alloys can make efficient processing a real challenge in the dental laboratory. With the HORICO NE and NEF carbide cutters, we offer a specialised solution that combines fast material removal with fine finishing – helping to simplify the workflow from initial shaping through to pre-polishing.

Two specialised cuts for an efficient workflow

The specially developed groove geometry of the NE cut and NEF cut is designed specifically for working with NPM alloys. Unlike conventional fine-cut instruments, their distinctive groove pattern allows even extremely hard alloys to be processed efficiently and economically.

  • NE cut – for fast material removal: Designed for efficient shaping and rapid removal of material, even on hard NPM alloys.
  • NEF cut – for fine finishing: Produces a fine, even surface and provides an excellent preparation for subsequent polishing.

Both cutting geometries are available in a range of popular cutter shapes, allowing the essential laboratory workflow to be covered with just two instruments – from finishing the cast framework to pre-polishing.

Key benefits

  • Fast: Efficient material removal on hard NPM alloys
  • Long-lasting: High wear resistance for economical laboratory work
  • Fine: Excellent surface preparation for polishing
  • Efficient: Two specialised cuts cover the key processing steps
  • Versatile: Available in a range of proven cutter shapes

Black-coated cutters

Black-Coated Cutters – Work Efficiently. Work Longer.

Long Tool Life, cool operation and precise results – for demanding milling applications in the dental laboratory.

When working hard materials in the dental laboratory, efficient material removal, high wear resistance and a clean surface finish are essential. HORICO black-coated tungsten carbide cutters combine these properties to support efficient and economical working in everyday laboratory use.

Their particularly smooth surface helps reduce heat generation and contributes to the cutters’ long service life. Thanks to their excellent cutting performance, they enable efficient, controlled material removal with minimal pressure. This also supports an ergonomic working technique that helps reduce strain on the wrist.

Key Benefits at a Glance

  • Long Tool Life – for economical use in everyday laboratory work.
  • Cool Operation – the smooth surface helps reduce heat generation.
  • Excellent Cutting Performance – efficient material removal with minimal pressure.
  • Precise Results – for controlled milling operations.
  • Suitable for Demanding Materials – also suitable for machining non-precious metal (NPM) alloys and titanium.

The Right Geometry for Milling Applications

HORICO offers black-coated tungsten carbide cutters as 0° parallel cutters and tapered cutters with angles of 1°, 2°, 4° and 6°.

0° parallel cutters: For milling parallel walls and surface.

1°, 2°, 4° and 6° tapered cutters: Designed for different milling geometry requirements. The range of angles allows the appropriate cutter to be selected according to the desired geometry and the specific application.

Different cutting geometries further extend the range, allowing the right cutter to be selected for the material and machining task.

Lion family burs

Works efficiently even with the hardest materials

The gold-plated Lion burs are our premium diamond burs designed especially for extremely hard materials such as glass ceramics and zircon, and of course for any other material. In comparison to many other similar products, they have more than 20% stronger cutting power, create less heat at the same pressure and are amazingly good value for money.

The advantages of the Lion diamond burs at a glance:

  • Quicker – shorter treatment times due to having at least 20% stronger cutting power
  • Cooler – reduced heat generation, since less work pressure is required
  • Duration – excellent lifespan
  • Cheaper – superior value for money
